We are dedicated to serving God and our community by sharing and spreading the Gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible was God-inspired and that it is as relevant today as it was when it was written.
Recently, God has blessed us tremendously with a pastor whose love for God and people is evident in everything he says and does. Pastor Kevin Branham’s dynamic sermons hit home with their Biblical wisdom and truth.
On Wednesdays at noon, Pastor Branham inspires us by leading our Bible study. His knowledge and understanding of Scripture is phenomenal, and the class’ attendance has grown so rapidly. We thankfully benefit from his more than 40 years of preaching and loving others.
Our church is a multicultural, interracial, multigenerational, New Testament church.

On September 29, 1960, after much prayer, 50 members from Deep Run Baptist Church gathered with the hope of starting a new church. They were blessed when Rev. Edward G. Lambert became their first pastor on October 2, 1960.
For several months, the church met at Tuckahoe Middle School for Sunday School and worship services, while meeting in the pastor’s home for Sunday and Wednesday evening services. As the congregation grew, they moved to Ridge Elementary School for more space. Every Sunday, the pastor and congregation would load a piano onto the back of a pickup truck, drive it to the school for worship, and then return it after the service. They did this faithfully for years, so they could worship together.
Recognizing the need for a church in the Parham Road area, Parham Road Baptist Church was born. On September 13, 1964, the church broke ground for its own church building, and the first worship service in the new sanctuary was held on July 18, 1965.
Rev. William O. Dillard, Jr., became the much beloved second pastor on September 1, 1966, serving for 24 years. His wife, Joyce, served faithfully as Minister of Music for 22 years. Parham Road Baptist enjoyed the leadership of six pastors from 1990 through 2024—Rev. Michael C. Jones, Rev. Bob Carlton, Rev. James Denton, Rev. Tom Warrington, Rev. Don Matheny, and
Rev. Spencer M. Dillard.
In December, 2024, the church membership was overjoyed when Rev. Kevin Branham began serving as our current pastor. He is a man of his word and his love for God is evident in everything he says and does.

Kevin Branham
Pastor Kevin is a native of South Carolina and a graduate of Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC. After 42 years in the pastoral ministry, Pastor Kevin blesses us with his leadership. His dynamic sermons hit home with their Biblical wisdom and truth, and the congregation always leaves the church inspired by what they’ve heard.
Our pastor wholeheartedly pursues his commitment to be obedient to Christ’s directive of the Great Commission, as Jesus stated in Matthew 28:19-20. His mission for our church is that we do all we can so that every soul will have the opportunity to hear and accept Jesus Christ. He is passionate about church restoration and reaching the community with God’s love. Sometimes, Pastor Kevin accompanies his always relevant sermons by playing his guitar. He enjoys classic vehicles and outdoor activities.
Worship Leader & Director of Youth
Joshua Fletcher
Joshua serves Parham Road Baptist Church in two capacities. He is our Worship Leader and Director of Youth.
We are blessed that Joshua is a very talented musician. As our Worship Leader, he leads the congregation with beautiful and inspirational music that touches every listener’s heart. Not only does Josh have a beautiful voice, but he delights us when he plays the guitar and harmonica simultaneously. Twice a month, he spends Sundays after church teaching our children how to play various instruments.
Joshua’s goal for our youth is to see significant transformations in their lives by the Holy Spirit--not just obeying, but to love Jesus.
Favorite scripture: “The joy of the Lord is my salvation.” (Nehemiah 8:10)
Hobbies: music, art, writing and poetry
Director of Children
Robin Kirkpatrick
Robin serves as our Director of Children. She organizes many events throughout the year that are great fun and teach our children how to share the love of Christ. Robin also co-teaches Children’s Church.
Robin’s goal is to help our children learn about our Lord and Savior, so they can become future witnesses to His mercy and grace.

Hobbies: crocheting, counted cross-stitching, and watching children grow!
